This was a cleverly insightful, thoughtfully written, and maddeningly paced tale that squeezed my heart as well as entertained me, although I fretted for these women throughout most of the book. I wasn’t sure they were going to make it through the project without irreparable harm to each other. I had a difficult time appreciating the main characters at times, but I came to adore them. Once they started actually working together, I reveled in the amusing situations and humor. I would gladly read either of these talented scribes again and again.
