“Emotional, heartwarming romance you can’t put down.”– Lori Wilde, New York Times bestselling author on Then There Was You

A heartwarming story about love, family, and taking risks that matter

Gabby Langdon has always tried to make people happy. She even went to law school to please her father, and now she’s a highly successful-albeit bored-attorney. But Gabby secretly dreams of being a writer, so for once she does something for herself-she signs up for a writing class taught by best-selling novelist Caden Marshall. There’s only one problem: her brooding, sexy professor is a distraction she can’t afford if she’s finally going to get the life she truly wants.

Recently divorced and suffering from the world’s worst case of writer’s block, Caden is in Angel Falls to get his life back on track. He’s focused on teaching and providing a stable and loving home for his young daughter, Ava. The last thing he needs is to jeopardize his new job, which means keeping plenty of distance between himself and his talented new student-no matter how tempted he is by Gabby’s beauty, kind heart, or the sparks that fly whenever they’re together.

Favorite Quotes:

“I haven’t been out in the sun much this summer, Nonna. But now that I’m partner, I’ll get some color.” She was lying through her teeth. She might never see the light of day again.

“When you’re eighty-nine years old,” Nonna said, “you can have all the donuts you want.” “Aren’t you, like, only eighty, Nonna?” Rafe asked. “I don’t know, but I’m old enough to have another donut if I want one.” … Nonna licked some cream off her thumb. “Don’t ever let anyone tell you not to eat donuts,”

As he leaned toward her, she couldn’t help noticing that he smelled delicious, like some spicy man soap that made her want to sneak into his bathroom and inhale the bar.

Cade gave his dad a look. The water under their combined bridges could drown someone.

My Review:

I am grooving on this Angel Falls series, The Way You Love Me was another delightfully satisfying and disarming read that would be easy to follow regardless of whether the first book was read or not, although I can highly recommend and enjoyed reading Then There Was You as well. I am always struck by the agile and insightful quality of Ms. Liasson’s writing. Her storytelling is so smooth, lushly described, and easy to follow that it rolls seamlessly with keen visuals through my gray matter. She deftly tucks in clever levity, thoughtful details, and other extra special touches that elevate the caliber from good to exceptional while providing additional texture and vibrancy to her characters as well as a highly pleasurable reading experience. And I adored these enticing characters as much as I did their engaging storylines. I particularly enjoyed the creativity of the full grovel experience and the amusing unpredictability of the elderly Nonna.

  1. Oh darling of mine – you are so amazing… Keen visuals which roll seamlessly in your gray matter – what a beautiful way to describe… Why are you not writing your own novel and articles in magazine… I would be your #1 fan… I am just rendered speechless. I read your reviews only for your words, the author and book are secondary..
I am just…. Wow.. No other words for your review 😍 😍

  3. Wow, what a stellar review! I agree with Shalini, DJ…what a way with words!! Thanks from the bottom of my heart.❤️And as for the creativity of the full grovel experience…ahem. Well, enough said! 😍

  4. Great review. The book sounds lovely. I don’t get though why some novels are now having their titles wrote in small letters when they should be capitals. Annoys the hell out of me 🙂
