Favorite Quotes:
Gianna is what I’d imagine having a toddler would be like. A toddler with a caffeine addiction and an absolutely foul mouth… Her mind is like a neatly organized file cabinet, armed with explosives.
You order food like a serial killer.
“You’re not difficult,” she says quietly. “You just haven’t had anyone take care of you.” Then she hands me a pillow, shimmies down in the bed, and plops her computer between us like she didn’t just find all my bruised spots with a single statement. Like she didn’t just crack me open, reach her hand inside my chest and squeeze.
She pouts. “I liked it better when you said I’m so beautiful it makes you mad.”
You used to draw me stick figure pictures in my lunch box. You said I could… You said I could hold you in my heart while I was at school. So I wouldn’t have to miss you too much.
“This is what happens when you stop answering your phone, Margaret. I magically appear.” “Like Beetlejuice,” she mutters. “Please. I’m much better dressed.”
I always liked the things I could predict best, but it took the one thing I never saw coming to show me how much I was missing.

My Review:
I delighted in this engaging couple and their entertaining storylines as much as I did the last installment of this gifted storyteller’s series. Ms. Borison’s clever and beguiling wordskills conjured colorful scenes that danced across my gray matter and alternated between amusing and squeezing my coronary muscle. The gal has mad skills, and I can’t wait to fall into the next one, and I currently have all my fingers and toes crossed that she sets her sights and crafty pen on the lively Gianna.

USA Today Bestselling author B.K. Borison is the author of cozy, contemporary romances featuring emotionally vulnerable characters and swoon-worthy settings. When she’s not daydreaming about fictional characters doing fictional things, she’s at home with her family, more than likely buying books she doesn’t have room for.
