For This Week:

REWIND:Β Top Ten Things On My Bookish Bucket List
(could be blogging related, book related etc. — meeting authors, reading x many books per year, finishing a daunting book, etc.)

#10: Read every book on my TBR list
This is not just the books in my current list, but including the books I will be adding in the future. This might sound unattainable since I’ll always add more and more books on my list, but you’ll never know.

#9: Review all the books I want to review
I was going to go with “Review all the books I’ve ever read” at first but changed my mind (what? I’m allowed!). I figured I really don’t want to force myself to review books I don’t feel like reviewing and just end up badmouthing the book or the author – that’s the last thing I want to do – so I’ll just go with reviewing all the books that I want to review.

#8: Attend a major book event
This has been a dream since forever. I would love to know what it feels like to be surrounded by people like me – people who love books, who love reading, who love writing, and who love talking books. It’s just me and Scotty most of the time and god knows I’ve been convincing him how awesome books are since before we were even together. He’s starting to love it now, though. He has read Steve-O’s biography in one week! That’s very impressive for someone who has never read a book from cover-to-cover before. He makes me proud! Now he’s reading another non-fiction and liking it. And I totally went off topic. My point being, I have nobody to talk to about books, reading, and writing. I just want to experience it.

#7: Have a library big enough to get lost in it
I want a library big enough that I would need to have my own organization and classification system. A library big enough to have books to last me a few lifetimes. Is it me or is my bucket list getting crazier and crazier?

#6: Sliding ladders in said library
Come on! I know you want sliding ladders, too. Tell me I’m not the only one who fantasizes about having a big enough library that I would need not just one, but a few, sliding ladders? Oh the fun I would have with those!

#5: Have a shelf of books I’ve written myself
I’ve been writing for a long time and I’ve never actually published anything or even finished anything worth turning into a book. It has been a long time goal (note: goal, not dream) and I know I’ll get there someday if I just stop being such a wuss and stop doubting myself so much.

#4: Find that one book that I will know by heart from cover to cover
I have favorites, I’ll admit, but none that are so close to my heart that I know the book from cover to cover. I want to find that one book that will make me feel like I’ve found the one. I know I will find it and I know I’ll know if I’ve found it. It’s like a soulmate – you just know.

#3: Make my blog more personal
My blog hasn’t even seen it’s potential. How could it when I haven’t even given it my all? I’ve been neglectful and I’ve been taking advantage of my readers and followers always expecting them to understand that life happens. I’m looking for ways to make my blog more personal and show who I am as a reader and as a person. I’m doing research, trying to be more active, being more present, and slowly coming out of my shell. It won’t be an overnight makeover, it will be more of a painfully slow and less dramatic change. I’m still learning but I hope that when I’m there, you’ll still be with me.

#2: Take J.K. Rowling out for tea…and lunch…and supper
She’s my hero. Need I say more?

#1: Write my masterpiece
Someday (before I die), I hope to write my masterpiece – that book that I can proudly say is my life’s work. I don’t know what it will be about or what it might even be, but when I know, you’ll know as well.

For The Readers: Your turn, what’s on your list? Anything on my list that’s on your list? Are the things on your list “more attainable” than mine or are they as crazy? Post the link to your own Top Ten Tuesday for this week or just share your thought below.
