Megan Sullivan is a single mom with a rather ordinary life. She is comfortable with things just the way they are. She has a six-year-old son, Elliott, a cozy house in Boulder, Colorado, and a photography business to put food on the table. Her ex lives hours away in Florida, providing enough space for him to feed his drug addiction without exposing Elliott to his father’s illness. Megan is on her own and she intends to keep it that way.
Megan is convinced by her best friend to take a trip to Paris for a few days. Little does she know she is about to be thrust into the arms of Luc Chevalier, the sexiest man to ever set foot on the Eiffel Tower. They agree to one night together and no more. In those few short hours he manages to draw out the passionate woman that Megan has carefully hidden way for years. Once she has a taste of what she’s been missing, she finds it almost impossible to go back to her life as it was.

Break In Two:
“Now her goal was to look as good as possible and make Cole sorry he had ever met her. He would be able to look but not touch, and she intended to make the sight of her hurt.”
“I have to admit one more thing. I’m a little bit tipsy right now, which is a total faux pas on a first date. Now you’re going to think I’m a lush as well as easy.”
“I’m guessing you’re used to getting away with being such a patronizing ass since you’re good-looking and rich.”
“She had books, wine, baths and BOB, her battery-operated boyfriend, to keep her company. None of them would ever leave the toilet seat up, forget to call when they were out of town or develop a serious drug problem. She had already gone years without a man, and she preferred to keep it that way.”
“The eternal optimist under the cloak of a jaded pessimist.”
Don’t Let Go:
“Let’s go see the doc. Otherwise you’re going to be holding your spoon sideways to smell your food from now on.”
“Every day I fall a little bit more in love with you and I think, ‘Well, this is the most anyone can love anyone else,’ and then the next day, it’s bigger and more intense. I want you to know that loving you has been the best adventure of my life.”
I cannot seem to decide which story to crown as my favorite – each one had elements I like and disfavor. All were well written with likeable and interesting characters, a generous amount of sensuality, and considerable emotional upheaval. I am not a big fan of angst, but I am a sucker for epic love, deliciously steamy scenes, and happily ever after endings. If you like all of those elements, you will be a happy camper with this series. Each of the two books could be read as stand-alone stories – which I totally appreciate, but the novella may put you at a bit of a loss had you not read the other two.
