Day Four Accomplishment
I read Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X, #1) by Richelle Mead yesterday. I’ve had this in my to-read pile for quite some time now and I’m happy I got a chance to read it finally! Now I just have to add the next book to my to-read pile and hope I liked it as much as I liked this one.
For today’s participation post, I’m supposed to talk about how I’m doing. It’s the first Thursday of the month today so there was a market in the community hall. We went there and had a turkey dinner lunch buffet for $12. It was definitely worth it and I like helping raise funds for the community projects we have going on. We ended up spending $30 buying a bunch of stuff we probably don’t need but it was for a cause. We try to help local businesses, especially farms, so we bought 2 dozens of farm eggs.
We also tried to get my winter truck tires studded from KalTire just to be on the safe side but since it was used already last winter, they couldn’t put the studs in all the way so that was a fail. It was really good of them to even try, though. Some would just tell you they won’t do it since they’re not brand new tires.
I had a good couple hours nap in the afternoon and we ended up watching Iron Lady on TV. I loved Meryl Streep and her portrayal. I even caught Scotty wiping tears away a couple of times throughout the movie.
I’m not really into poetry and most of the times I never seem to get what most poems – or even abstract art, if I may add – are really about, but I love taking up challenges so I’ll try my best. It probably won’t be any good or won’t even make much sense but I’ll try my best to work with what I’ve got and give you my first ever attempt at poetry. You be the judge, here goes nothing…
She loves you, she loves you not…
After obsession, possession,
darkness becomes her:
A wild surge of guilty passion,
The alchemy of forever.
