My Mind’s Eye (Pub Fiction #1)
Ryker & Kat’s story
Limited Time 99c SALE
She is the epitome of the girl next door, but with a feistiness that makes my dick throb.
I’m drawn to her like no other. She stirs things in me I have no desire to feel, makes me long for things I shouldn’t.
This is my game. I choose the players. I never play for keeps.
I don’t believe in fate. I make my own destiny. I work hard and play harder. Luck is for pussies, karma for idiots. Me, I make shit happen.
Meeting her fucked up my plan. Threw me off my game.
I’m now face to face with my karma. Her name is Kat Rollins.
Ryker Eddison is the epitome of a player. You know the type: Mr. Get In and Get Out.
He’s all about the chase, wanting just one night. Everyone knows this, I know this. Still, I find myself craving him, my greedy body betraying what my heart and mind already know: he will only bring me pain.
He’s the guy that girls like me should avoid. I’m smart, I know better. But when I’m with him, I feel things I’ve never felt before. Things I never knew I wanted.
I can’t deny it … I like the chase. The high is explosive but I’m afraid if I give in, I may end up losing more than I can handle: my heart.
“You’re my back-up, the cheese to my macaroni, the fork to my knife, my bestie… most of all you are my sister from another mister!”
“I honestly think you should be all like, ‘Hey Ryker, my body has 206 bones in it, but I could use one more,’ then blow a kiss at him.”
“Here’s to you, here’s to me. Friends forever we shall be… And if ever we should disagree, then #@ you. Here’s to me!”
“Jesus, baby, you’re my mind’s eye. God, lately all I see is you. I dream of you when I sleep. I wake to thoughts of you. Then I see you and, #@&*, if you’re not all I need to see.”
If I am not mistaken, My Mind’s Eye appears to be Ms. Jones’ first or at least earliest published listing I noted in Goodreads. If so, then wow, this is a strong debut. The writing was richly descriptive, making it easy to visualize their environments and follow their movements and thoughts. I enjoyed the sweet and supportive friendships that the fun and likable female characters shared, as well as their humorous banter and genuineness with each other. The romance between the anxious little bird Kat and the playboy Ryker was slow to establish and the avoidance or denial of their feelings for each other until 70% into the book became somewhat tiresome for me, but when they finally connected, it was even more explosive than I had anticipated. I adored his sweetness toward her. Their inner musings and sensual scenes were highly erotic, and the dialogue is rife with expletives and profanity, so be aware that this is not a book for the Sunday School set.
On the Rocks (Pub Fiction #2)
Levi & Braun’s story
Four years ago, losing the love of my life almost destroyed me.
Years of being labeled and looked upon with disdain by everyone in my hometown almost wrecked me.
Four years ago, I became a mother and together we were enough… until I met him.
He wanted to rebuild my broken —I just didn’t know how to let him.
This is my story, of how one man’s love changed everything I thought I knew about life, love and myself.
Can Levi Eddison prove to be my restoration?
Everything in my world changed the day Braunwyn Daniels walked into my pub.
She was a woman of many contradictions. I recognized the happiness and sorrow each fighting its way to the surface from deep within.
I was drawn to her immediately.
Behind her long legs, chestnut brown hair and beautiful eyes lay a damaged soul.
I needed to change that —I just didn’t know how.
This is my story of how I met a broken girl and vowed to make her whole.
In the end, it turns out I knew nothing about true happiness until Braunwyn Daniels let me love her.
“Trust me, Levi is the stuff that the female population most definitely memorizes and stores up in their minds and plays, on repeat, in their version of the ‘spank bank’ (what London and I refer to as the ‘Jill Till’) after taking in the sight of him. Hell, I myself will be playing him on repeat with Mr. Buz.”
“Oh man, the things we’ve seen over the years, I swear the city bus can be just as bad as Wal-Mart after midnight.”
“On the inside, I’m melting into a huge puddle of girlie-goo, into a pool of Oh My God, Did That Just Happen?”
“I’m more than ready for this. I want to love again, Levi. I want to stop thinking about living and actually live again.”
“I want you to be my yestermorrow, always, Levi. The place where my yesterdays and tomorrows will forever cross. I want all my days entwined with yours. I need you to be my past, my present, and my future.”
I adored this story and this couple. I frequently crave a sweet and sexy romance where the characters are not mired in constant angst and conflict with each other, but rather are supportive and pulling together as a united force instead. The plot line was interesting and fresh, and the characters were likable, compassionate, and tender with each other. Despite the occasional heaviness and underlying tragedy and aftermath resulting from suicide, and the years of ensuing grief, the writing was actually humorous, fun, crisp, and clever. I enjoyed their wordplay, banter, and alliteration. And any heroine who enjoys Moscato has an instant in with me. Gillian Jones is a new favorite and is definitely one to watch.

One Last Shot (Pub Fiction #3)
(Claire & Matt’s Story)
My name is Claire Knox.
People say I’m the female version of a player, a boyslayer…if you’re fluent in urban dictionary speak.
I hate long term relationships. I’ll never commit to sticking around long enough to get attached to the notion of love, marriage or the proverbial two point five kids.
No siree. Not this girl.
There’s no way I’ll let myself get hurt by losing someone I love ever again.
Been there, felt that.
Consider me damaged goods if you will; but I’m happy.
Or so I thought…until my path crossed with his again.

I’m Admittedly addicted to… my friends, red wine, shoes, handbags, and laughter. My biggest addiction, however, is reading.
