Sarah Morgan is back with more love and laughter in her acclaimed series, From Manhattan With Love, which Publishers Weekly calls a “sweep-you-off-your-feet romantic experience.”

Determined to conquer a lifetime of shyness, Harriet Knight challenges herself to do one thing a day in December that scares her, including celebrating Christmas without her family. But when dog walker Harriet meets her newest client, exuberant spaniel Madi, she adds an extra challenge to her list—dealing with Madi’s temporary dog sitter, gruff doctor Ethan Black, and their very unexpected chemistry.

Ethan thought he was used to chaos, until he met Madi—how can one tiny dog cause such mayhem? To Ethan, the solution is simple—he will pay Harriet to share his New York apartment and provide twenty-four-hour care. But there’s nothing simple about how Harriet makes him feel.

Ethan’s kisses make Harriet shine brighter than the stars over moonlit Manhattan. But when his dog-sitting duties are over and Harriet returns to her own home, will she dare to take the biggest challenge of all—letting Ethan know he has her heart for life, not just for Christmas?

Favorite Quotes:

Women do cook for themselves you know. You think when we’re on our own we sob into a lonely bowl of cereal?

Envy, she decided, was a truly uncomfortable emotion. It said things about you that you didn’t want to hear.

I never get sick…. Although of course now I’ve tempted fate and I’ll probably have bubonic plague by Monday, but I’ll worry about that later.

I don’t want that on my conscience. I already have enough scars and baggage to deal with. Carrying any more will give me spinal problems.

Right now I’d be happy to mate for five minutes. Mating for life seems an overly ambitious objective.

They’re my specialty. Chocolate chip cookies. Eat them quickly. Men have been known to fight over them.

My Review:

Sarah Morgan continues to delight with Moonlight Over Manhattan, her latest installment of her From Manhattan With Love series. I have read and adored each and every one of these divinely written and cleverly endearing treasures. Sweet Harriet is on her own for the first time since her beloved twin sister and human buffer to the harshness of the world has found love and moved away. Harriet has devised a self-improvement plan for her Christmas present to herself by meeting a challenge or completing a difficult task each day between Thanksgiving and Christmas, to gift herself with courage.   A rather ambitious and admirable plan in my opinion. And I enjoyed every step as Harriet battled herself while making significant inroads in facing her discomforts with sly humor and insightful observation. I adore Ms. Morgan’s complex yet lovably flawed characters as well as her amusing and deft word-craft. The witty banter and snappy quips flung between characters is always a tasty treat. I have smirked, laughed aloud, and sighed myself through each cleverly written book and as always, I am already eagerly awaiting the next arrival.
