Hope. It’s a word loaded with possibilities. It’s an optimistic word, one that can build dreams or crush them in the blink of an eye.

My second JA Heron GirlsQuad read and I am hopelessly addicted and permanently hooked. I adore this diverse group of tightly bonded women and envy their friendship, easy banter, and how they can just snap at each other and get on with it. Ms. Heron’s writing is easy to follow and her humor frequently brings a smirk to my lips, although she is just as adept at squeezing my cold heart in the next sentence. This installment was busy with each of the four dealing with significant personal stressors as well as each other. Carla has a shocking revelation, Brenda’s health is of concern, Clarissa is in love, and Davina’s intellectual limitations continue to leave her easily confused – with her misunderstandings providing much of the comic relief. Ms. Heron brings both the peaks and the valleys – but always remains entertaining.
